In the past

Peaceful times near the water

Peaceful times near the water

Put things that belong in the past in a spot in your mind where it is an experience that you can draw upon but you do not need to ruminate on to figure out where you went wrong or right.
Those things you lived through; good and bad need peace and harmony. Even the bad things that have happened will be given new light if you move on to the present.
Draw upon your experiences when you need to; keeping the good lessons up front to give you confidence in your next step in life.

Give yourself credit where credit is do to look at as you take on a new challenging adventure in life.
I remember as a child being on the beach every single day, collecting bright colored glass and smooth stones to flip in the lake.
When the lake was very calm you could flip those flat stones so far into the blue water that it seemed to last forever.

And then I would walk or run if there were not too many stones slowing me down catching my breath at the spot where I could no longer go any further because I would have to take off my shoes and slowly walk past large shale rocks that fell into the water as I scaled the edge. Sometimes I would purposefully scrap off some shale stone to watch it drop into the water as I passed.

Today I take friends with me to the water’s edge, walking, talking, smiling and giggling at the enormousness of Lake Erie and its past. I find peace and calmness being by water with its slow waves of energy passing through me as I gaze at what once was a child’s castle or piles of a rock castle, or tree braches ready for the next beach fire.
