Living life well
I heard from mom yesterday in the trees. Then I saw her along the road as she rustled and churned the leaves and twigs as I smiled knowing it was her.
For the past few weeks I have been thinking that mom was again by my side because I needed her and small things like pictures falling or loudly singing birds remind me she is near. She loved having a bird. The last one was Billy who never sang in tune, but we loved his little chatter. It seems that not all birds have beautiful sounds but whenever they are singing, you know that it is a lovely song of hope and love.
Love birds together in a tree singing loudly as I look up at them, and they know I am looking because the volume increases and other birds respond by chattering back. I love life in the noisy sounds of nature where I know that things are real; wondering why it took me so long to see this light before me.
Spring has Sprung
And yes it is the first day of spring on this cloudy day with a bit of shiny light rain sparkling along my window as I gaze at the trees with their soft spring green and red buds popping about.
A drip from my gutter tells me that the thaw is here and we can smile knowing that warmer weather is about to enter. You can even smell the spring-like weather coming up through the ground making everything smell as fresh as a blue and white spring flower. And a child passes me by picking up a tiny yellow butter cup as a robin taps across the grass pulling up the first worm I have seen this year. The ground opens up to receive the rain and nature begins to take us to a warmer day.
