Embracing Life
I had a friend who is long past to spirit who used to tell me, “Embrace your gift and send words of kindness and love to others as you pass through this world.” He was my English teacher at a local community college who often spoke to me about my writing skills. For a very long time I did not believe him. I thought he was just trying to be nice because I was young and needed some direction in life. And of course I did go in a different direction, becoming a nurse instead of a writer which served me well at the time, giving me many opportunities in life to help others.
And today, I finally am grasping what my writing mentor was trying to tell me, and I feel like I have to catch up with the task of telling you about loving life and its gifts. Passions are wonderful gifts we are given but we have to realize that they exist so that we can share them with others down our path in life.
With the good times and the bad, I am still loving being here on this earth where I can bring others a lesson on loving life, holding tight and being patient with yourself.
Even when life is not as you would like it to be.
Stand tall, strong and flexible, guiding yourself toward an inner healing with positive words, and positive healing gestures to others in your path.
Find some time to review your life, taking a different direction if needed to sort out what life is all about for you; taking it slowly, one step at a time so that you will not be tempted to give up.
Giving up is never an option in life because we all need to follow through with life; embracing our inner spirit that guides us to take the next breath.
