As the days grow shorter, you may have to fight harder to keep those extra pounds away during the winter.
Helping with  your weight loss goals
Begin with some recipe development of your own. I love to experiment with some different kinds of meals that include healthy grains such as rice, quinoa or even some legumes such as lentils and split peas.

Protein, and the good fats
Did you know that grains can help supply you with the protein you need in your diet to stay healthy and full along with the good fat of the avocado which has a long history of helping with weight reduction and maintenance?

You need some fat in your diet, and the avocado along with some healthy nuts can help with those cravings for sweets because they keep you satisfied.

And satiety is the missing piece to many hopeful dieters. You may feel deprived at times with your diet and may need to revamp it with new meals and more hopeful ways.

Feeling satisfied after eating, not looking for anything else to eat is a good goal, and finding that balance in yourself is part of your efforts at weight loss and maintenance along with your mindful ways.

Create mindful ways to relax before meals, during and after meals along with creating a lovely environment to eat in, with pretty plates and cloth napkins.
Go to the market and find some fresh veggies to go along with your grains.
I love to smell the freshness of the veggies and apples in the air at the farmer’s market.

Buy some real carrots at the market, the organic kind instead of those baby carrots.

Steam veggies such as carrots, collard greens, and then chop and add them to your favorite grain.
