When you think about it, your life is like a tapestry with many colors, directions, good and not so good living.
Finding your way may be difficult at times because you want so many things in life.
You may want to fill your time with meaningful living but you seem trapped in what you have to do to survive.
Nature gives us many lessons on staying power. Standing strong like a tree you can find your way through life’s struggles.
It may seem like a long time waiting for things to change for you. And sometimes you have to move toward where you want to be.
Staying in one place also has its merits; ask a tree!
We may just have to weather a few storms in our lives to get where we want to be.
Do not give up on yourself
Sometimes we give up on things we should have waited for. I gave up on some relationships that I could have struggled through instead of allowing anger and pain to get in the way of my staying power. Today it seems that I have more staying power. Maybe this kind of power comes with aging.
Looking back, the tapestry has many colors from my life and many patterns that repeat themselves, and that is just the way it is, not good or bad. The memories just are.
If you find that you are impatient about where your life is going, try some exercises that help with staying power.
Meditation is a good place to start. Begin with a deep, cleansing breath, and then silence, concentrating only on your breathing. When a thought comes to mind, bring yourself back to the breath.
Meditate every day for at least 15 minutes and you will find out that you are calmer, balanced and grounded to the Earth just like a tree.
Find some new ways to tap into your strengths.
