When there are changes in your life, you may tend to think back to some things that may be painful. Some happy things such as a wedding can be a time of reminiscing. It can be a bit troublesome if your thoughts stay too long in the past, so you may need to focus on the things that are going on right now.
I find that the end of summer is a change that I do not look forward to. I want the summertime to last longer because I begin to think of the near future when there will be very cold weather, rain and then snow. But looking forward does not help me with the present.
The present, in the here and now is the place to stay.
Concentrate on what you are doing right now, in the moment, and you will feel happier. I always feel happy when I am doing something that is challenging. Stop watching TV or playing on your computer and do something creative. Creative, challenging things gives your brain a workout.
Sometimes you need to not only work on your physical self, but your emotional, intellectual and spiritual self need tending too.
And when there is change in your life, accept it, and embrace the moment of what is happening to you. Make every moment in your life count. Make someone happy, give a gift of a smile and a warm hug.
