Just for today, be honest with yourself and start a new way of life with some healing techniques from Reiki philosophy.
Reiki
Like yoga, Reiki is a philosophy much in line with healing and spirituality. A good book to read on the topic of Reiki is: Reiki: A Way of Life by Patrick Rose Upczak. The website: http://www.csd.net/~synchron.
What kinds of things do you develop when you learn about Reiki?
Balance is the first step.
The Reiki inspired ideas become part of your life and your self-healing. Here are a Few:
When you learn how your physical, spiritual, mental and emotional bodies are connected, you begin to realize that when one is off-line, the others also have difficulties.
Breathing: Another aspect of health is learning how to breath deeply and slowly in order to settle down your emotional self.
Other healthy ideas that are Reiki inspired: Taking care of your body by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, eating healthy foods that nourish the body, keeping your colon clean, doing some form of exercise every single day, and using moderation when it comes to drugs and alcohol.
Reiki Philosophy
Because our physical, spiritual, mental and emotional bodies are interconnected, you need to nourish all of them. Developing goals toward your special life purpose through examining your values and then striving to live by them.
It is important to develop goals that help with the releasing of any anger you may have and striving toward an attitude of forgiveness, not only toward others, but also yourself, being honest with yourself, your work and your relationships.
Bringing in gratitude
Reiki rules: Beginning to genuinely feel gratitude toward life, and stop worrying about things you cannot change. Here is a balancing poem from Reiki, A Way of Life:
Just for today do not worry,
Just for today do not anger.
Honor your parents, teachers and elders.
Earn your living honestly.
Show gratitude to everything. (p 15)
