As we grow in mind, body and spirit, we begin to think of things in different ways. One of the comments I always hear is, “Hindsight is always 20-20.”
If I could do it all over again, I probably would live most of my life the same way because we all fall into the trap of thinking that is focused on some sort of goal. As you age, the goal may change, and you wonder what that original goal was all about because now you are old and it was not attained. Or maybe it was partially attained and there is not much time now to get what you think you need from life.
A good example is money. Everyone wants that golden egg sitting there for old age, and they may work very hard, working longer hours than they want to, just to fatten up the egg.
It may sound like a good idea, but what are you missing? Did you miss that summer cookout because you were too tired? Or even bigger, did you miss your kids growing up because you were always at work?
I am not saying that you should not make money for your future, what I am saying is moderation is the key to success.
Stop and think about what is NOW, not what has passed because you cannot change what has past. You can only change, ” What is today, this moment, this second in time.
