Organics have been on the horizon for many years. For some healthy living, I use different types of side dishes. Here is a simple recipe from Dr. Elson Haas called Carmalized Onion Quinoa. This is a good prebiotic dish that is easy to prepare.
Remeber that onions are prebiotic so they keep your digestive system healthy!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/3 cup Quinoa
2/3 cup water
Add the oil and onion to a hot skillet and saute for 5 minutes. Rinse the quinoa and add to the skillet. Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce and simmer, and continue to cook for about 10-15 minutes until all the water is absorbed. Serve warm as a side dish or with vegetables.
