When you look very close, you can see that it must have been around for a long time. As time goes by, trees become more and more beautiful and lovely to look at.
They have many aging reminders for us to count. The rings of a tree (when it is cut down) tell all the years that a tree has been around. But the outside is special too with its coarse texture and unyielding strong force. We should be so lucky to stand as strong as a tree, and as long!
Some Aging Help: Co-Enzyme Q10
COQ10 is a naturally occurring compound that is found in plants and animals. COQ10 is necessary for the mitochondria which is the energy generation compound of all cells to work properly.
This is much research that supports the use of COQ10 to help in the aging process People who are struggling with illnesses have decreased levels of COQ10 in their bodies. The aging process in itself can also contribute to decreased levels of COQ10 in the body.
There are a few areas that COQ10 have been shown to help:
1. Heart Disease
2. Helping with Cancer
3, Preliminary research with periodontal disease, Alzheimer’s and improvement in the immune function of people with HIV/AIDS
COQ10 has been shown to be of use in the abnormalities such as Congestive Heart Failure and other heart muscle diseases. In a study with people who have Cardiomyopathy, when they took 100 mg /day of COQ10 along with other traditional therapies, they showed improvement that those who took placebo.
Because of its antioxidant effect COQ10 has the ability to lower the bad LDL cholesterol.
In another study, COQ10 reduced the ability of blood to clot thereby decreasing the chances of blood clots getting stuck in a artery.
Other promising studies: hypertension and heart value replacement patients.
In people who suffer from angina ( chest pain), supplemental COQ10 appears to increase their ability to exercise longer, and decrease the pain frequency, thus reducing the need tor nitroglycerin.
The jury is still out on Cancer. Studies are preliminary but a recent study looking at breast and prostate cancer looks promising for the use of this supplement. Some researchers believe that COQ10 used before chemotherapy can help with a drug called adriamycin, thus reducing the danger from this drug. Others disagree and state that COQ10 makes adriamycin less effective on the cancer cells.
There is some preliminary studies that show COQ10 can act to slow down the progress of Parkinson’s Disease.
