Here is a recipe that is very easy, and it is virtually free of calories.
For people who love noodles, but cannot eat them all the time due to the calories, Shirataki noodles which are made of tofu can help you to keep the calories at bay.
Ingredients
1 cup vegetable broth
1 cup cubed celery
1 cup cubed carrots
1 small white onion
2 cups fresh spinach
You can also add any of your favorite veggies
First boil all veggies for about 15 minutes without noodles.
Add a bag of Shirataki noodles that you have strained and rinsed very well. They have a strong odor if you do not rinse well.
Add noodles and boil another 5 minutes.
This is a great soup to have around the house when you need a snack that is low in calories.
An eight ounce bag of Shirataki is only 40 calories. no fat, 3 carbs 30 mg sodium, 2 grams fiber
I find these noodles at my local health food store. Remember that they need to be refrigerated.
It counts as 0 points on Weight Watchers
