>Get some fiber, it is great for your health!

There are many diets out there that can help you lose weight, but here is one that can help you stay healthy. The verdict is out- a fiber filled diet can help prevent cancer. And the good news- a high fiber diet can also curb constipation and promote overall digestive health- and weight control!
Here is a sample fiber daily diet plan:
Remember that food rich in fiber include:
Apples
Bananas
Pears
Berries
Bran wheat
Whole wheat bread
Brown rice, grains such as amaranth, millet, barley
Brussels sprouts
Carrots
Chick peas
Figs
Greens- any kind- spinach my favorite!
Papaya
Parsnips
Peas
Potatoes
Pumpkin, sweet potato, yams
Winter squash
Breakfast
11/2 ounces All Bran
1 orange
1 slice whole grain bread
1 cup skim milk ( or almond milk)
coffee
Lunch
Garden sandwich ( 1 piece whole grain pita bread, 1/2 avocado, 1/4 cup celery, 4 radishes
1/4 cup shredded carrots, 1/2 cup green peppers, 1/4 onions)
1 Apple
1 cup skim milk ( or almond milk)

Dinner
3 ounces trimmed of fat and free of skin chicken breast ( or 2 ounces tofu/ tempeh)
1 baked potato
1/4 cup broccoli
1 tablespoon margarine ( non-hydrogenated)
tea of your choice

SNACKS: you need to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks: snacks can consist of the following: 3 graham crackers, 1 cup fresh strawberries, 3 cups popcorn,  2 plums
Other breakfast suggestions include: 1 cup oatmeal, grits, granola cereal, shredded wheat
