>Nutrients can be destroyed by the process of cooking, therefore, we should eat more whole, raw foods.
You cannot get enough raw foods says author Jordan Rubin in the book: The Raw Truth.
The Top 10 Raw Foods:
1. Leafy Greens are loaded with minerals including potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron.
2. Citrus Fruits such as oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit are great sources of vitamin c and bioflavonoids.
3. Sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds contain B vitamin’s, vitamin E and minerals including phosphorus.
4. Avocados: a great source of potassium and vitamin E
5. Coconut kefir contains probiotics, enzymes and a large amount of potassium a serving
6. Carrots provides carotenoids, including beta carotene and a good source of calcium
7. Raw Yogurt, Kefir and raw cheese from grass fed animals have calcium, a significant amount of B vitamins. Raw dairy products from grass-fed animals are also a good source of CLA- Conjugated linolic acid and contain trace amounts of Omega -3 fatty acids. Raw cheese is also loaded with calcium.
8. Celery: a great source of potassium and sodium, important for cardiovascular functioning.
9. Cultured Veggies containing Vitamin C, probiotics, enzymes and vitamin U which is the active form of sulfur.
