Here is one for migraines
Feverfew: This herb helps with headaches and migraines, you can even use it to reduce fever. The suggestion from Dr. Russo ( A doctor in the England) is to grow feverfew plants from seeds if you can. And the advice is to chew on the leaves! They say it doesn’t taste very good, but it gets rid of the headache. Feverfew has small white daisy-like flowers and grows like a weed. It needs very little cultivation to survive.
Garlic: Nature’s Infection Fighter
Garlic is so very good for you. And if everyone ate it, we would not have to worry about garlic breath!
Garlic is noted for its ability to fight viral and bacterial infections. Its active ingredient, allicin, is a potent antibiotic, but can be easily destroyed by heat.
Consumption of garlic and onions has been linked to a lower risk of developing stomach cancer, says Dr. Fugh-Berman.
The difficulty with consuming garlic is knowing how much to take, and in what form. To lower cholesterol, you may need to take 12 capsules of raw garlic oil a day, or eat 10-12 cloves daily!! That is a lot of garlic.
Ginger for the tummy
Ginger for motion sickness is a proven remedy. Ginger’s real value lies in its proven power to treat all kinds of nausea such as morning sickness. Dr Mary Hardy tells women to grate fresh Ginger- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon in into a cup of tea, seep for 5 minutes strain and drink first thing in the morning to prevent morning sickness.
A study indicates that ginger can reduce the nausea and vomiting that can occur following major surgery. In addition, there is evidence supporting ginger’s use with migraine headaches, and it may even help with ulcers.
There are many forms of ginger: candied, crystallized ( available in health food stores). You can also chew on a fresh garlic.
