>Basil has many postivie traits. It is antibacterial; oil of basil has strong antibacterial traits, even with antibiotic- resistant types. It has been found to be very effective in killing harmful bacterial found in produce. Next time you order salad- ask for lots of basil!!
Basil has also been shown to make platelets, a compound of red blood cells to be less “sticky” – a process that may reduce the chances of blood clots forming.
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup dry roasted pistachios
5 fresh cloves of garlic
1/2 teas sea salt
1 teas black pepper
4 cups fresh basil chopped
Chill all ingredients. Combine in a blender or food processor
Blend until smooth
Garnish with fresh who basil leaves
( you can also add 1 cup parmesan cheese/vegan cheese if you like)
