Beans are one of the few vegetables tha are rich in both protein and fiber, including both soluble and insoluble fiber to promote regularity, control of cholesterol and may even reduce the risk of some forms of cancer.
Beans have potassium, folate, and magnesium and a good sounce of manganese, molybdenum and the B vitamin Thiamine.
Dark beans such as black ones are as rich in antioxidants that are called anthocyanins which are also in grapes and cranberries. Beans are one of the 4 top antioxidant-containing foods.
So- eat your beans!!!
