Listening

The sun rises each day in colors of grays, pinks, oranges and blues

The sun rises each day in colors of grays, pinks, oranges and blues

Dee found that listening to the silence was a way to meditate daily; phone shut off, no TV blaring, but soft music in the background finding its way into the deep and soft waves of energy that comes when you are still and silent.

Stillness Comes

Listen to the rain softly dropping  down to the ground; hearing splashing noises as cars pass by sprinkling blue waters that shine and reflect  in the sunshine, between the rain drops.
The birds listen and know when the rain is slowing down;finding softness but not silence as they chirp sweet sounds  into the silent waves of cleansing raindrops.

Your life is like a tree with many braches, circling back at times in wonder and gratefulness

Your life is like a tree with many braches, circling back at times in wonder and gratefulness

I know what it is like to circle back to the beginning of life where everything is amazing and you smile just because you saw a yellow bird for the first time saying loudly, “Mom, did you know there are yellow birds, I thought they only came in red, blue, black and robin colored red?”

Things that can be fixed

Gloria always believed in fixing things in life. As a child she would bandage her dolls; keeping them looking fine.

Holiday time may be a good time to fix some things in life

Holiday time may be a good time to fix some things in life

One day Gloria said, “I cannot fix my tiny tears doll. One of her eyes is always open and one closed.” Gloria took some clear tape to hold open the winking eye but it did not last long. The tape was a fix that could not be permanent.
“Poor tiny tears, ” said Gloria as she placed the little doll into her cradle; rolling her around outdoors down the street in the sunshine.

Beginning with you

Once again you begin

When you look at nature up close you know that everything is a meaningful event in your life

When you look at nature up close you know that everything is a meaningful event in your life

You begin by getting in touch with your soul; knowing  that  special place where everything centers and has a balance in your life; that is where you are right now.

You can feel spirit but you may ignore the deep feelings of loving ways. You say, “I am too busy to be still, quiet and soft. I just don’t have the time to begin each day in a meditative way.” But you know  that is where you should begin and today you will take that meditative walk in silence instead of rushing off.
You take that first slow, deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth; a noisy breath of life because you know very well that everything begins and ends with the breath of life.

Staying the Same

Grow up tall and strong like a tree where you stretch your long, flexible branches to the sky

Wooden bird houses; roll after roll, all looking the same

Wooden bird houses; roll after roll, all looking the same

There are many people who choose sameness to growth.
They may even know deep down that staying the same is not getting them anywhere but the choice seems like the best one for them right now.
