Comforting Distance

I witnessed a seagull sitting on a rock so peaceful and still

Capturing moments in time

Capturing moments in time

The sky was blue with sparkles of orange and yellow as the sun set gently in the sky. I was amazed by the peaceful waters, so blue and quiet along with the seagulls flying above not making their usual child-like chattering sounds.

I wanted to get closer to the gull and I believe he noticed as I climbed gingerly over the sharp edges of the gray and black stepping stones that were not quite stepping stones but large rocks that were not easy to step on and keep my balance at the same time.

I find messages everywhere

Crows calling out that spring is here. Hear their voices strong and centered; letting you know they are here

My mother is my primary messenger; bringing me hopeful thoughts, positive moments and a guiding way that puts a smile on my face.
Found her watch a week ago; an old one that she used to wear. I love it because it just slips on and off, unlike my other watches. When I looked at the watch on my wrist I thought only of mom, so I thought I should get it fixed.

Present

This present moment

Bring  presence into your life by being still for a moment and breathing  light into your soul. Sit in meditation with your legs folded in easy pose (cross-legged)  and your hands, palms up above your knees catching energy from the Universe. Close your eyes for a moment and concentrate only on slowing yourself down right now in the moment. Stay here for what may seem like a long time but it is not. Do this practice every day upon waking and your calmness, mellow thoughts and balance will be yours for this present moment in time.

Wait

The Skill of Waiting

Patience is difficult, for yourself and with others.

You may wait for someone, impatiently tapping your foot because you think that they are taking too long trying on a new dress.

Or you may be impatient with yourself; trying to hold onto something like fixing the parts on your coffee pot to make it work but it still spills the grounds in the wrong spot.

So do you buy another one or do you keep on trying to patiently fix the one you have?

Finding Some Miracles In Your Life

So what do you think miracles are?

Do miracles have to be unbelievable or so great that you are amazed by them?

Are you walking down a path where miracles are happening?

Are you walking down a path where miracles are happening?

When you are patient in life’s events, miracles can happen.

You begin with just waiting. Sometimes patience in difficult situations is all that you have, and  when you stay still long enough to catch your breath, only then  do you begin to think of the many things you are not only grateful for but also may be miracles in your life.
