Old Souls

Old souls are like trees that grow very slowly, touching the earth with their beauty and grace

“I believe I am an old soul who has been around for many years.  I have been in touch with my inner self and I count on it for inspiration and insight. I know that soulful ways are developed as are many skills we learn in life. And I have learned many lessons that have brought me to a center of calmness and graceful movements like a swaying and crackling  branch on a strong, yet flexible tree that catches a warm summer breeze,” said Gloria as she gazed at the coldness of a winter day with its forceful winds that spray sparkles of icy whiteness, shimmering in the sunlight.

Meaningful Traditions

This time of year we hold on tightly to traditions that make us stronger. We should hang on to this kind of harmony and love all year

“Mom had a tablecloth for every holiday; orange for the autumn times, reds for both Valentine’s Day and Christmas.

The fanciest and  most special cloths were there ones she carefully placed on the table  around the Christmas season where everything in the house had a red and green sparkle of positive energy,” said Dee with a smile.

Feeling blessed by the beauty of nature

Feeling blessed by the beauty of nature

A friend  of mine always talked about being blessed.

Every day she would pass me by in a hallway where we worked and tell me how blessed she was. At first I thought, “Why does she use this as a greeting to me every day, or is it something she tells everyone she passes throughout the day?” I never found out but I believe she really was blessed.

Today make a commitment to live life well

Stop struggling with things that you do not have control over and take that first step toward taking care of yourself so that you can be there for others.
Be happy
Be kind
Be everything that you want to be
Take challenges
Take chances
Never stop believing in yourself

Life is like a giant circle; you come back to where you started and that place may be right where you want to be. There are so many reasons to stop right now and practice some happiness; bringing it to others on your journey through life today. There is always someone else who has even more difficulties that you do, be there for them today.

Add a movement and momentum to your day by finding something in your vision to do with yourself that takes the entire day. Not work but working in the garden could be an idea. And movement can include some relaxation along with it. Dancing, prancing, swimming and relaxing all become part of a wonderful day with the added benefit to your mind, body and soul.
