You should take sugar consumption seriously. It has negative effects on your body.

Here is how to decrease your consumption of sugar:

1. Eat a healthy diet that consists of vegetables, whole grains (complex carbohydrates), and protein. Increasing your protein helps with cravings. Try to put some soy or whey shakes into your diet. Another idea are high protein bars ( but look for the sugar in them). Many protein bars have high protein, but also high sugar content to make them taste good.

To keep your Gastrointestinal tract happy, you need both pre and probiotics. What are they?

 

Prebiotics are foods that reach your colon intact.

Foods  such as wheat, onion, garlic, artichokes, soy beans, bananas and fiber.

Probiotics are the foods we always hear about like yogurt and kefir.  They are actually live microorganisms!  There are some clinical  reasons to take probiotics such as diarrhea, allergies, inflammatory bowel disease and lactose intolerance. Probiotics also help with such diseases as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

The foundation of the Innovation in Medicine (FIM) introduced the Nutraceutical Research and Education Act in Congress October 1999.

This Act promotes clinical research and development of dietary supplements, and foods with health benefits ( nutraceuticals) to establish a new legal classification, and give exclusive rights to the company doing the research for a set time period.

There are 3 categories: Food, dietary supplement and medical food.

 Look at this tree!

When you look very close, you can see that it must have been around for a long time. As time goes by, trees become more and more beautiful and lovely to look at.

They have many aging reminders for us to count. The rings of a tree (when it is cut down) tell all the years that a tree has been around. But the outside is special  too with  its coarse texture and unyielding strong force. We should be so lucky to stand as strong as a tree, and as long!
