Still Grieving

Mar 27th, 2014 Posted in Grief and Loss | no comment »

Did you ever notice how a sunrise and sunset look the same?

That is because they are like yin and yang.

Opposites have so very much in common. When the sun rises we start our day, hopefully full of energy ( yang) and at the end of the day when the sun sets, we are quiet, still and ready for bed ( our yin ways).

On Grief and Losses

The rising and setting of the sun is like death and losses. Every day passes by you whether you are ready to go on or not. It just moves on without you or with you.

She Stood Strong, no matter what

Some are stronger than others

She was always strong, no matter what the circumstances in life. You could see it in her large brown eyes, the eyes of a person who had been through many difficulties in life, but was able to manage beyond most.

Why was she so weathered by life? It was years of staying in a bad relationship when she deserved more.

She loved being near water. She said it helped her to feel calm and centered

She was a slight person, and you would think that a strong wind could take  her off her feet but nothing ever knocked her down.

Aging and Balancing Losses

During the sunset time of your life, be happy to rise and shine, and also lower and settle down.

During the sunset time of your life, be happy to rise and shine,  but also settle down.

Balancing Acts

Unlike humans, the sun has its own balance, rising and setting each day on time with its wonderful colors on the horizon. It may sometimes be clouded on the horizon, but when it is a clear day, a sunrise and sunset can be amazing to watch.

Is your life like a balancing act filled with ups and downs?

Maybe it is time to get on a wholesome schedule that allows  your mind, body and soul to settle down, including your ability to bounce back from  losses in life.

Life is Not Fair, it just is

Upon thinking on death, and other losses, I immediately think about fairness

Not everyone gets to live a long life. And for some, it may be with pain and discomfort.

But on a good note, many people live to a ripe age, loving each moment of their life, regardless of conditions that aging may have brought on.

Those loving, smiling people seem to be the happiest because what else is there in life besides happiness?

Life is just the way it is, so accept it

Angel Help, In Grief and Sorrow

My mom’s name was Angeline, and now that she is a spirit, many people will be blessed by her presence in times of need. You can find her everywhere; in the trees, in the sky, in your mind, and surrounding your physical body because she loves to give hugs.

When you walk along your path, clear your mind and feel the presence of spirit.

When you walk along your path, clear your mind and feel the presence of spirit.

She was a strong person during her life; always there to lend a hand and more when you needed help or just a kind word. She  listened, not giving you her opinion, but listening to your words. Most people just talk to each other, passing words back and forth without a care; not listening to anyone but themselves.
