You can do it

Mar 9th, 2015 Posted in Accepting Change | no comment »

Even when you feel down and out, you can do it, and you can do it well!

Do not give up on things; see things through in life’s adventures and challenges.

My dad used to tell me, ” Keep a stiff upper lip when it is hard to because you want to build strength.” Even in weak times I think of what dad said.

“Sometimes you have to buck up,”  I told my children in times of tears, sadness or distress, and they still giggle when they say it to each other  at family gatherings. But the stiff upper lip or the buck up sayings can help in troubled times. Be strong, be centered and never give up.

Making changes

I find that springtime is the best time to make changes. It is so very natural for you to make changes as you see nature doing the same. Nature unfolds from the dreary colors of winter into the beauty of yellows, bright greens and soft blues. The sky even seems to brighten up as spring approaches with clear days and sunshine.

The earth’s natural changes in the spring may motivate you to wake up and with clarity in your soul, moving you toward brighter days where you can go outdoors more;  breathing in the colors of life.

Would you change careers and focus on a totally different aspect of your being in mind, body and spirit? Would you stand on a peer, casting your fishing pole into the water, waiting for the big one?

When you think about it, your life is like a tapestry with many colors, directions, good and not so good living.
Finding your way may be difficult at times because you want so many things in life.

Does Misery Really Love Company?

Whenever I think of people who seem to be miserable, I wonder why they cannot love life. You only live for a short time on this Earth, you need to learn how to love yourself, others, and everything about living.

Aging

Maybe grumpiness is a sign of aging. Your body is telling you it is growing older, and your mind follows along! I believe that we can push our way past grumpiness into a pleasant existence by changing a few things about ourselves. The first thing is to stop talking about what you do not have. Talk about what you do have!
