The Ups and Downs of Weight Loss

Things worth having may be a struggle to reach but you need to move toward the brass ring of life

Nothing in life is easy, especially weight loss and maintenance. If you are like me and have allowed the pendulum to swing up and down over the years, you may need a different plan of action.

Maybe you have to remind yourself that it is about the food you eat, and make some changes there; or maybe it is about your couch potato pleasures where you sit on the couch in front of the TV, and you may need to change that too!

No one is perfect

I know that sometimes I contradict myself by suggesting diet and exercise and then I sit in front of the computer like I am doing right now. I know I am not perfect, and sometimes I not only eat too much, but I also exercise too much and that can get me in trouble, especially with wearing out my knees, ankles, hips and feet!

Food as Addiction

I know for a fact that most of the difficulties with keeping weight off lies in the addictive personality.

Yes, you like many other people who are addicted to substances such as alcohol have the same issues.

It is when you feel that they have it all under control; that is when you fall off the wagon.

You have to be aware that you will always struggle. And you have to be aware that there will be a lot of temptations in life; some of them will tip you in the wrong direction, and some you will be proud of yourself because you did not eat that cake!

The Health and Wellness Benefits

The moment you begin to think of your weight loss struggle as a healthy living plan you will be more confident about your goal of staying healthy and well in mind, body and spirit.

I love being a healthy person. I eat nutritious, wholesome foods because healthy foods are medicinal.

Food helps  your body to be strong, balanced and centered.
