Little Things

Mom lights the way in our lives

Mom lights the way in our lives

It is all about the little things in life.
My mother’s life was all about  living in the present moment, and enjoying family and friends.

She was  there for the bruises, tears and happiness in our lives.
The little things like cooking a special meal for many family members was one of her specialties, including some meals that were done in a short time such as her Quick Sauce or Stuffed Artichokes.
She taught me well on how important the small stuff really was.

And how not to fret about things that happen, especially things that you have no control over.
She was a strong believer in the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

Mom lived by the Serenity Prayer, and she knew well how to accept challenges in life with grace, dignity, courage and tolerance.
She knew how important it was to keep on smiling.

A warm smile and a gentle touch can help you though life.
Mom’s specialty was taking care of us during the good and bad.
So remember how special the little things in life are.
