Staying on the positive side of life can be difficult

Look around and see the beauty before you. Listen to the birds in the springtime and know that the world is a beautiful place to be.

On Being Positive

I would like to believe that I am the most positive person that I know. I keep thinking if I say that statement over and over- I will become that person!

The truth is, you have to work at it. Staying happy, positive, upbeat, excited, joyful, are all just words. You have to begin to feel it deep inside of your heart in order for it to really work for you.

There are many authors who speak on the power of the positive. My favorite is John Roger and Peter McWilliams in their book: You Can’t Afford The Luxury of a Negative Thought. It is so true. You only live once on this wonderful Earth, why should you live it in pain and misery?

Emotional vs. Physical Pain

Emotional pain can be just as devastating as physical pain, keeping you tied to the house, speechless and worn down. You don’t even want to go out because you are stuck in the difficulty of negative thinking all the time.  Medication can help as an adjunct, but it just covers up the real problem that you have to work on every day of your life. Staying positive.

Here are some thoughts from some famous authors:

Oscar Wilde said: To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.

We have to begin with ourselves. You are more powerful than you think you are. You can develop ways to uplift yourself, and even others.

You have to believe you are a wonderful, worthwhile person- because that is exactly what you are!

Another author: Grenville Kleiser wrote: Every good thought you think is contributing its share to the ultimate result of your life.

This is truly profound.  Those little thoughts like:” I am not going to try anything like that, it will never work.” can contribute to you actually not being able to do it. You can definitely think your way into failing at anything.

When you replace those thoughts with positive thoughts such as- joy, happiness, fulfillment, and achievement, it has positive results. Causing you to be more enthusiastic, calm, and at ease.

It is a miracle, each positive thought brings about love and happiness, thus success and achievement.

On your destiny

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved. By William Jennings Bryan.
