Experience Life in the Present Moment

What is going on right now? Are you walking outside experiencing the wonders of the blue sky or the artistic way a branch sways in the wind?

I believe that we are here on this Earth to experience everything, even losses. The feelings of pain and anguish do subside with loss, but the memories and constant review stays with the rest of our lives. And that is the way it is supposed to be. Remembering is one of our strengths. And recreating some of our memories to make them better is another skill that only humans can do.

Re-play your life

If I could re-play any of the things that have happened to me, the one thing that I would love to have back was a time when my children were little. I feel like I missed something somewhere. But even as I write this, and flashes of memories are on my mind, that time was so important, and I did not know that it would pass by like a fleeting moment in time… I thought I would always have time to spend just reminiscing with my family. That things would stay pretty much the same. Many years later, I began to see that this moment shall pass too. If you wait too long, everything seems to pass you by like a large wind storm, picking up the pieces of your life. And there is nothing you can do except accept the losses and gains that your life has made. The good and bad. The happy and sad are all there in your mind and heart.

Live for today is a good suggestion. Stop living in the past or future. The moment is in the here and now. What is happening right now, in this precious moment will soon pass, so you need to get going and experience life as it is happening.

Acceptance

Accept  the changes that have happened to you.  You are getting older. Your body changes. You may not be as sharp as a tack anymore, but you still have some good things in life that are with you in the moment. Discover some new things to be passionate about.

Be creative with the rest of your life.
