On Following Your Path in Life: Then and Now

The path of life has many stops. Mine has always been pausing to catch my breath at the beauty that is before me.

Journey through Life

I would like to believe that I have done a pretty good job in my life’s path. Even through the good, bad and ugly of things, I have survived and flourished in my life. But sometimes a thought comes into my mind that says I have not completed everything that I have wanted to in life.

There is something missing that I have not completed.

When I get this feeling I begin to write some things down.

Completing myself

When I search through the missing pieces of my puzzle, I begin to recognize some of the things I need to complete. I have a strong desire to help others, and before I complete my journey down the path of life, I want to help people who also struggle as I have.

Then and Now: My Struggle through weight gains and losses~

Before I die,  I want to help as many people as I can with their health and wellness issues.

I want to be there to guide and help motivate people to make the changes that they need to make in order to attain their weight loss goal.

I know where they are. I been there too. Too many times in my life, I have traveled the path of gaining and again losing weight. When I look back at pictures of myself, even my younger days, I see someone who has struggled for most of her life.

Today, at 58, I just want to feel good, prevent some of those devastating diseases from happening to me and be a guide to others down the same path in life.

Here are a few pictures of my before and after.  I continue to believe that what has kept me on the road to success has been having friends and family who care about me,  my strong determination and  motivation to make changes in my life, and a positive attitude.

Yes, I am scared that someday I will gain my weight back. This is normal, but being out there with people who have the same difficulty as I have has been my saving grace in life.

We move on with grace and splendor throughout our lives and even with all the pain, it is still a beautiful world with beautiful people in it.

This is me today! I am a lot smaller, and have been steady at my weight loss and maintenance for 1 full year.
