Keeping it Simple

I don’t know how many times someone has told me to keep it simple, but I have to say that I really enjoy the simple things in life, especially in art.

Folk art and crafters are the oldest form of artistic, creative souls. And I say souls because they seem to bring out a spiritual way of expressing their crafts. You look, you gaze and you smile inside and out. The colors, the beauty, it wakes up your soul.

Mental Wellness

Mental wellness means finding your whole self in the mind, body and soul of things. Immerse yourself in something that really rocks your boat and you will feel grand!

Putting yourself in something and then feeling the flow of it

Flow has been discovered as something you can do that you get lost in, like reading a good book and finishing it in one night, or finding yourself lost in making something creative.

And when you keep repeating your craft, it becomes better and better, until you have perfected it to the point that others are amazed and  say, ” How can you do that so well?”

Only you know that it takes your mind, body and soul flowing though you to make it happen!

Every time I look at creative people’s goods, I am amazed at how they can put their entire being in their work, and then I think about what I do that is similar to what they are doing.

 The Wonders of Crafting

A few weeks ago when I visited San Diego, I was lucky enough to visit Old Town. It is an amazing place to go if you are a crafter yourself, or if you just like looking at wonderful colors and creative beauty.

The Simple Things in Life are Free

Yes, gazing at the beauty around you is free, and it has the added advantage of keeping you calm and centered in life. When you do things that make you feel good, you are not stressed out and in a hurry. You get in touch with your inner being and feel good.

Find your creative side and  make yourself  smile inside and out.
