>Homemade Soup

>There is something really inviting about homemade soup. I was just telling a friend how much I enjoy it. I made veggie soup this week on Sunday, and eat it all week. I just take a cup of it at a time, and keep the rest in the refrigerator for when I feel the need for something warm.
It is so very easy to make.
I use vegetable broth to start with. Sometimes I just steam some carrots ( or other veggies) in my steamer and use the water for my veggie broth.
You need a variety of vegetables for a good soup and some noodles or grains. I love Quiona so I use a cup of that in my broth, then I add my veggies. Today I will use some pre-steamed broccoli, carrots, red onion and fresh spinach. I use a cup of each of these. I also added 1/2 cup of garbanzo beans and some curry powder and a fresh garlic clove to spice it up!

If you pre -steam, you just need to add ingredients to your broth, and you have a great side dish or snack whenever you need some soup.
