>Nutty Cabbage and Fresh Cranberries with Apples

>For a warm meal side dish try these two easy recipes.

Nutty Cabbage
You will need:
1/2 cup nuts of your choice- I used mixed nuts
1 cup cubed precooked squash- I used butternut
1/2 red onion cubed
 1 clove garlic crushed
1 apple cut into cubes
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/4 of head of cabbage
1 cup greens of your choice- spinach/ mustard

Saute onions and garlic in olive oil, add ingredients with apples last so they are crunchy
Top with nuts and stir in after everything else is cooked

Cranberries and Apples
1 apple cut in cubes
1 bag of fresh cranberries
1 cup water
1/2 cup agave ( or sugar)
In boiling water, add cranberries and agave (if agave is not sweet enough you can add 1/2 cup raisin for sweetness)
Cook on medium for about 5 minutes
Add apples or pears
Cook 5 more minutes
Cool and allow to gel
