>Tapping Points of Acupressure

>Another area of acupressure is called energy tapping.
Instead of the potent points of acupressure, you tap on the points. It seems to work the same way as applying pressure, but with tapping, your tap on the points to stimulate the meridian system in the body.
This technique was developed by Gary Craig, a Standford Engineer, from Dr. Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy (TFT). Gary called his program EFT- Emotional Freedom Technique. He believes that many emotional difficulties can be helped with this tapping technique.

 Some of the EFT points:
0= The Sore spot- on your chest where you would pin a medal or broach. Gently push your fingertips to find a tender area  or use the Karate Chop point: on the side of your hand, roughly in line with your life line.
1= Start of the eyebrow: where the bone behind your eyebrow turns into the bridge of your nose
2= Corner of the eye: On the bone in the corner of your eye
3= Under the eye: On the bone just below your eye, in line with your pupil if you look straight ahead
4= Under the nose: Between your nose and your upper lip
5= Under the mouth: In the  indentation between your chin and lower lip
6= Collarbone: In the angle formed by your collarbone and the breastbone
7= Under the arm: In line with  a man’s nipples on the side of the body
How to tap
1. Tune into your body and mind
2. Speak a truth about how you are feeling right now
3. Choose how your would like to feel
4. Do the above while tapping on your point

When beginning to energy tap, try these helpful fill in the blank statements: Repeat them 3 times while you are tapping
Even though _________________ ( I am trying to stop smoking, and I am having difficulty), I deeply and completely accept myself.
Everyone needs to fill in the blanks with some of the things that they want to change about themselves. Maybe it is anger at someone or something, maybe you need to lose weight and cannot. Your set up statement is important- and should be stated out loud- so find a quiet place!
