>Some Tips to successful healthy Eating

>Many authors are beginning to re-think the weight loss and maintenance industry. People really need to start believing that diets do not work. What needs to be done- is to change your way of thinking about eating to a healthier one.
Learning how to cook for yourself so that you don’t have to stop at a fast food restaurant to eat is a good start!!
It is not difficult to learn. Just find a good cookbook and begin.
Here are  some recommendations from Dr. Andrew Weil from his Anti- inflammatory Diet book:
1. Eat sweets sparingly. Healthy choices: dried fruit (unsweetened), dark chocolate, fruit sorbet. Dark chocolate has polyphenols with antioxidant activity (cancer resistant agents)
2.Drink Red wine : (optional, and no more that 1-2 glasses/day) Red wine has antioxidant activity.
3. Supplements: High quality multivitamin that has Vitamin C, E, mixed carotenoids and selenium. Co-enzyme Q-10, 2-3 grams distilled fish oil, 2,000 IU Vitamin D
4. Tea: Drink 2-4 cups/day. Tea is rich in antioxidants. Types: Oolong, white and green
5. Eat Whole Soy Foods: 1-2 servings/day. Examples: tofu, tempeh, soymilk, soynuts

6. Eat Healthy Herbs and Spices: Tumeric, curry powder, ginger, garlic, chili peppers, basil, cinnamon, rosemay, thyme
